Demand for real estate in Mission and the Fraser Valley remained high this month as the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board recorded its third highest ever number of sales for the month of October. The board recorded a 29% decrease in new listings and an 18.2% decrease in sales in the Fraser Valley compared to this month last year.

The Board processed 1,938 sales of all property types on its Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in October 2021. 81 sales took place in Mission, compared to 66 sales in September 2021. 59 detached homes were sold in October 2021, compared to 61 in October 2020. The sales of townhomes remained the same compared to this month last year.

Active listings in Mission for detached homes and townhomes decreased by 46.4% and 31.3% respectively compared to this month last year.

The number of active listings in Mission for all property types decreased 19.8% compared to last month.

Mission’s Benchmark Price for detached homes in October 2021 was $999,100 compared to $726,000 in October 2020, an increase of 37.6%.
