In April 2022, the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board recorded a 35% decrease in sales compared to last month. This is the first time the monthly sales have dipped below the ten year average since June 2020. The FVREB processed 1,637 of all property sales this month, a 45.7% decrease compared to this month last year.

The Board processed 1,637 sales of all property types on its Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in April 2022. 70 sales took place in Mission — a 17% decrease from March 2022. 54 detached homes were sold in April 2022, compared to 83 in April 2021. The sales of townhomes remained the same while the sales of apartments more than doubled compared to this month last year.

Active listings in Mission for detached homes and townhomes increased by 51.3% and 177.8% respectively compared to this month last year.

Sales of all property types in Mission decreased by 18.18% compared to March 2022.

Mission’s Benchmark Price for detached homes in April 2022 was $1,252,500 compared to $902,900 in April 2021, a staggering increase of 38.7%.
