Fraser Valley Homes Sales
Well, it was a record-breaking August for real estate sales for the Fraser Valley in general—much of that was due to the high demand for attached homes. Many people are looking for affordability when it comes to purchasing their next home, and townhouses and apartments were snapped up over the summer.
The number of properties on the market in the Fraser Valley, the average price, and the sales are all at an all-time high compared to previous years.
In most areas of the Fraser Valley, attached homes continued to draw the most buyers, and if you are looking to sell your townhome, apartment or condominium, NOW is the time, according to statistics from the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board.
In the Fraser Valley, 470 townhouses and 548 apartments were sold out of 1,879 total properties. That means attached homes represented 54% of the market!
And the speed at which they are selling is astonishing. Attached homes sell almost twice as quickly as detached family homes throughout the Fraser Valley.
Mission, BC Home Sales
In Mission, BC, however, detached homes dominated the market, and this is likely due to the higher affordability and availability of detached homes and properties in this area, compared to the rest of the Fraser Valley and the Lower Mainland. After a short dip in property prices early in the summer, prices are seeing a steady increase again.
