The statistics for the month of November 2020 are in, and the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board has recorded another record-breaking month. The FVREB reported an increase in sales of 54.7% from this month last year. This is the fifth consecutive month the FVREB has recorded record-breaking sales and listings, and it shows no signs of stopping any time soon.
The Board processed 2,173 sales of all property types on its Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in November. 63 sales took place in Mission; 52 detached homes being sold in both November 2019 and November 2020, though townhomes saw a decrease of 50% in sales compared to November 2019.
Active listings in Mission for detached homes and townhomes decreased by 40% and 50% respectively compared to this month last year. The demand for detached homes and townhomes in the Fraser Valley has been unrelenting, with some communities seeing the demand for family homes exceeding supply.

61 new listings in November 2020 compared to 69 in October.
Sales decreased from October to November by a total of 20; sales for our region only slightly decreased from 67 sales in November 2019 to 63 in November 2020.
The number of active listings in Mission for all property types decreased by 19.7% compared to last month.
Mission’s Benchmark Price for detached homes in November 2020 was $739,000 compared to November 2019 which was $639,200, an increase of 15.6%.
