The Fraser Valley Real Estate Board reported another near record breaking month for sales in September 2021, recording the second highest ever number of sales for the month of September in the board’s history. The market has stayed competitive as demand for real estate in the Fraser Valley remains extraordinarily high.
The board recorded a 33.4% decrease in new listings and a 16.4% decrease in sales in the Fraser Valley compared to this month last year.
The Board processed 1,866 sales of all property types on its Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) in September 2021. 66 sales took place in Mission, compared to 74 sales in August 2021. 58 detached homes were sold in September 2021, compared to 85 in September 2020. The sales of townhomes decreased by 33.3% compared to this month last year.
Active listings in Mission for detached homes and townhomes decreased by 49.3% and 38.5% respectively compared to this month last year.

Mission’s Benchmark Price for detached homes in September 2021 was $968,900 compared to $711,700 in September 2020, an increase of 36.1%.
